I would like to send my very best wishes of health, happiness, success and prosperity to everyone who is celebrating the Lunar New Year.

我向所有庆祝农历新年的朋友们致以最美好的祝福，祝愿大家幸福安康、吉祥如意。

With over 1.2 million people of Chinese heritage living in Australia, it is a special time for many communities and families across our nation.

澳大利亚有超过120万华裔居民，因此对我们全国各地的许多社区和家庭来说，这也是一个特殊的时候。

With the Year of the Pig now upon us, it’s also a great time to reflect on the strong connections between Australia and China.

猪年来临之际，正是我们回顾中澳两国间紧密联系的好时机。

As the Australian Minister for Trade, I am very aware of the strong economic relationship between our two nations. China is Australia’s largest trading partner and both our countries continue to reap the benefits of the landmark China-Australia Free Trade Agreement.

作为澳大利亚贸易部长，我对我们两国间强劲的经济关系有这清楚的认识。中国是澳大利亚最大的贸易伙伴，我们双方都从具有里程碑意义的中澳自由贸易协定中持续获益。

I was myself lucky enough to see this strong trade and investment relationship in action when I visited Shanghai in November for the China International Import Expo.

我非常有幸能够在去年11月在上海举行的中国国际进口博览会上，亲自见证这种强劲的贸易与投资关系。

Our two countries also enjoy strong people-to-people connections through education and tourism.

得益于教育与旅游的繁荣，我们两国的民众联系也十分紧密。

Currently there are around 185,000 Chinese students studying in Australia and we welcome over 1.4 million Chinese visitors to our shores every year. China is also an attractive destination for many Australians, with more than 400,000 visiting in the last year.

目前在澳大利亚留学的中国学生达到了约18.5万，每年来澳旅游的中国游客超过140万。同时，对澳大利亚人来说，中国也是一个非常有吸引力的目的地，仅在去年就有40余万澳大利亚人到访中国。

I have every confidence that the relationship between Australia and China will continue to prosper in 2019 and well beyond.

我相信中澳关系将在2019年及未来继续繁荣兴旺。
